Anime. Anime, folks, anime! The kind that moves, talks, and has songs playing at the beginning and end! If everything goes according to plan, it should be airing starting in April, so if any of you are like, “Wait, this is news to me!?”, please close this book right now and check the official website for channels or streaming options where you can watch it. And if you enjoy it, please post on social media, “Danjoru anime is awesome!” The original work team and all the anime production staff will surely be delighted.

Now, as for the original story, it’s finally starting to feel like the climax of the high school arc, isn’t it? But before that—May and June, two consecutive months of Danjoru short story collections are scheduled to be published. And amazingly, even though they’re short story collections, Parum-sensei will be providing full illustrations for them. I’m incredibly grateful for that.

The May release will be a short story collection depicting the daily life of Yuu-kun and his friends when they were first-year students… back before he reunited with Rion-chan, when he was still in the same class as Makishima-kun. The yankee duo, Mao and Azumi, will also make appearances. They’ll do things like go to karaoke for a group date. This is actually why Azumi started taking an interest in Yuu-kun. What a sinful guy he is…

The June release will be a short story collection about when Hibari-oniichan and his friends were in high school. It centers on the meeting between Sakura and Yatarou, depicting the formation of the drama club, which has been briefly mentioned in the main story. By the way, my editor was shocked, saying, “Yatarou was this kind of guy!?” Yup, well, that’s right. He was that kind of guy. Reading this short story collection before the next volume of the main story will probably make you feel a little warm and fuzzy. Oh, and of course, there’s also the story of how Hibari and Kureha first got together.
